I have a confession…pizza is my favorite comfort food!
Because pizza in general can be unhealthy and super fattening, I have searched for ways to eat it as a treat while reducing the amount of processed food and dairy in my diet. It was challenging to completely remove processed food and dairy so far but I’m able to live with smaller amounts which is probably better for me in the long run and achieve my goal of fat loss and staying healthy.
I came up with a compromise…I got to try gluten free pizza crust and Daiya cheese in place of wheat and regular mozzarella cheese. Let’s say it was a surprise treat and it didn’t taste too bad or blah considering there’s no wheat or dairy involved. It was surprisingly tasty. That way I can satisfy my occasional treat of pizza and save money in the process too.
